Digital Marketing/Communications Executive

We are seeking an experienced and driven Digital Marketing/Communications Executive to support our business in Head Office

Job Purpose
Responsible for contributing to the success of the E-Commerce (Direct to Consumer) business through day-to-day digital marketing activities. Manage and develop email, social media and affiliates programmes to maximise traffic to musto.com, drive online customer loyalty and optimise conversion. Own the seasonal trading calendar in respect to the brand co-ordinating with Retail and Wholesale channels, and be responsible for the creation of content and copy onsite and within customer communications.

Key Responsibilities
Content
  • Create and manage all digital content, collaborating with Ecommerce Manager, to ensure activity aligns with overall seasonal trading Calendar and is well co-ordinated across site, e-mail, Social and Affiliates channels
  • Support the on-going SEO optimisation of content on- and off-site
  • Manage the musto.com blog
Email/CRM
  • Work with our CRM partner and email marketing provider to drive frequent, relevant and timely eShots and eNewsletters to our consumers
  • Drive customer engagement in the Emails (i.e. Open and Click-through rates)
  • Work with Marketing to ensure relevant content on the site and available for eNewsletters/e-Shots
  • Support the development and implementation of Brand’s Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM) Plan
  • Measure and report on email activity
Social Media
  • Create and/or utilise content for social media channels ensuring cohesive content and tone of voice
  • Execute social media campaigns
  • Measure and report on social media activity
  • Monitor and support International and Corporate Social Media activity
Affiliates
  • Support the on-going Affiliate Programme development
General
  • Generate brand awareness, sales, database and ‘fan’ growth
  • Support customer loyalty and revisits to the site
  • Support off-line marketing activity through digital and social campaigns
  • Maintain a record of competitor activity across sites, email and print
  • Help identify and define changes to drive improved conversion
  • Ensure all activity adheres to Web Best Practice
  • Manage supplier and partner relationships, ensuring excellent levels of service delivery and output, representative of the expectations of the Brand
  • Closely manage assigned budgets and forecasts
  • Regularly measure and monitor KPIs/ROI, reporting to appropriate stakeholders when required
  • Ensure the integrity of customer data is upheld and adheres to privacy laws and codes of conduct
  • Support Team Projects, as required
  • Any other ad hoc duties, as required

Knowledge & Skills
General
  • Good understanding of e-Commerce, email, social media and affiliate marketing
  • E-Commerce consumer mind-set, able to balance ‘content & commerce
  • Ability to write clear, articulate and creative content, with excellent English Language skills; demonstrable copywriting skills a must
  • Excellent working knowledge of, social networks and email marketing
  • Good project management skills and action-orientated
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Understanding of digital marketing in the retail environment
  • Management experience of third parties
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Experience working in marketing, preferable in CRM role could be advantageous
Technical
  • Computer literate, competent user of all Office applications
  • Email savvy, HTML essential
  • Basic (web) design skills desirable
  • Working knowledge of Word press
  • Google analytics user
  • Photoshop desirable but not essential

  • Self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision

Experience 
  • At least 2-3 years in a retail/multi-channel digital role, including the following: content development (creative & copy), email marketing, Social Media and Affiliate management
  • Experience in the Clothing & Apparel sector or experience working with a quality/premium brand
Qualifications
  • Graduate (or graduate calibre), or recognised digital marketing qualification

Key Responsibilities
Copy
  • Develop, manage and own the MUSTO tone of voice
  • Own copy writing & editing across all channels, ensuring copy adheres to brand values
  • Manage all MUSTO copy projects and tasks from brief to delivery
Brand copy
  • Write, collate and manage all brand copy including brand guidelines, brand book, brand messaging, partnerships, press releases, blog posts, product descriptions, work book copy, event collateral and vertical channel advertising copy.
Social Media
  • Create and/or utilise content for social media channels ensuring cohesive content and tone of voice
  • Execute social media campaigns
  • Measure and report on social media activity
  • Monitor and support International and Corporate Social Media activity
Catalogue copy
  • Write, collate and manage introductions, features and other content
Digital Marketing copy
  • Write, collate and manage all copy for the digital marketing team including, email copy, SEO & PPC Ad copy, assisting with Social Media where necessary
Website copy
  • Write, collate and manage all copy working closely with the Ecommerce team to ensure all content is on brand and up to date including homepage, landing pages and buying guide areas of website
  • A/B test copy and CTA’s where possible and report on findings and best practise.

Knowledge & Skills
General
  • You will be an expert copywriter, with 3+ years experience ideally working for a premium sports brand.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the sailing, shooting & equestrian disciplines is essential.
  • You should have a good understanding of fabric technologies used in sports wear
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills
  • You’ll be able to connect with people and sell through copy
  • You have the ability to manage many tasks at once and deliver high-quality output every time, on time.
  • You will be able to adapt your copy for different end uses – creative, social, commercial, promotional, personal
  • Your English language and vocabulary will be second to none with excellent verbal and written communication skills
