Banque Populaire: the final countdown

On 22 November 2011 Banque Populaire V, the 145 foot maxi-trimaran which broke the Fastnet course record in August (34 hours), set off from the Lizard line to attempt to break the Jules Verne round the world record currently standing at 48 days 7 hours 44 minutes and 52 seconds.

After 45 days they are approximately 200 miles from the finish, travelling at over 30 knots.  Will they make it?  We will let you know tomorrow.
