The dressage phase saw William sitting in 2nd place with Chilli Morning behind Pippa Funnell and 5th place on Running Order behind Zara Phillips on Lord Lauries, and whose second ride Black Tuxedo was in 40th.

A tough cross country course led to Zara unfortunately being eliminated on Lord Lauries but pulling second ride Black Tuxedo up the ranks to sit in 25th. William had a perfect clear round on Chilli Morning moving him into 1st place. Running Order had unfortunate time faults and a refusal putting him into 27th behind Zara.

Final day in the Show Jumping phase was just as tough with time faults all round, fences down and a sad fall. But William kept a clean sheet with Chilli to take the CCI title. Zara ended the day on Black Tuxedo in 23rd after gaining a few faults.

Both riders will be off the Luhmuhlen, Germany next weekend for the CCI**** where William will ride Cool Mountain, Neuf Des Coeurs and Olympic ride Lionheart and Zara competes on Olympic ride High Kingdom.  Visit feitv.org for live coverage – Cross Country starts at 11.20am (UK time) on Saturday 15 June and Show Jumping airs at 12.45pm (UK time) on Sunday 16 June.
