Charlotte Kerwood shooting update

Shooting ambassador Charlotte Kerwood wrote to us with an update from her busy schedule in January and February so far:

‘This winter I have been very lucky and spent most of it in Australia. I flew out mid-November for a month’s training, staying with shooting friends in Melbourne. It was really great to get a lot of shooting in as at home through the winter it’s just too cold. I came home for Christmas and New Year’s to spend some time with my family and friends before a very busy 2012.’

‘I flew back to Australia early January and was very lucky to be upgraded to business class! This trip was for training but also to shoot in their nationals. The weather was beautiful this trip, I love the heat and it showed in the competitions. The first competition I won shooting a 73ex75, just 1 target off the world record score. The next day I came 2nd in the competition and I was pleased with my performances. They also award a prize for high gun over the two days which I won; it was definitely worth the long flight out there.

Coming up I have two world cups which are qualifying events. One is in Tucson, Arizona and the other in London at the Olympic range.’

Fingers crossed for the Olympic selection, Charlotte. England is behind you! All the best, Chris
