“We would like to give you some updates on our sailing in the past few months. Sherman and I competed in the Asian Sailing Championships in March in China. This competition featured entrants from asian countries, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, China and Hong Kong. This event was considered as a test event for the upcoming Asian Games at the end of the year. A total of 12 races were completed in winds ranging from 3-25 knots. We are delighted to inform you that we won the gold medal in the 420 event.
We competed in the Singapore National 420 Championships next, which was held from the 2nd to the 6th of June. A total of 14 races were completed with a total of 15 boats competing. We had the pleasure of a couple of boats from Thailand and Phillippines joining the competition. We are delighted to inform you that we finished first for the competition.
Following that, we headed out to Germany for the Kiel Week event which was the first out of two trials for the Asian Games later this year. A total of 195 boats entered this competition with international entrants from countries all over the world, such as France, Great Britain, Italy, Australia, Korea and other countries as well. We are pleased to inform you that we won the event as well.
Next, we will be heading off to Israel for the 420 World Championships, which will be our second trials for the Asian Games.
