In the Press: The Best of the London Boat Show 2011

Musto is mentioned in the January issue of Yachts & Yachting magazine in its pick of the best exhibits at the London Boat Show:

‘The Tullett Prebon London Boat Show returns to ExCel in the capital’s docklands, from January 7-16, 2011.  Here’s our pick of the exhibits…’

‘The London Boat Show has had a substantial reshuffle for 2011.  The North Hall is now home to equipment and fittings, marine services, a ‘retail village’, plus holidays and watersports section.  The central new feature of the north zone will be the Watersports Action Pool, which will give visitors the chance to try activities including canoeing and kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, wakeboarding, dinghy sailing and windsurfing as well as model yacht racing.  The South Hall is now the dedicated ‘boat hall’, with both new and used yachts also exhibited in a dry marina and afloat on the London docklands.

The catch phrase for this year’s exhibition is ‘Your World on Water’, and features talks and presentations from a panel of experts.

Racing fans won’t want to miss ocean racer Mike Golding, pro sailor turned cameraman Mark Covell and legendary coach Jim Saltonstall.  However, there is also the chance to find out more about stand-up paddleboarding, marine weather, cruising techniques, and much more.

A few features remain untouched – old-timers will still find the Black & White bar in the north-west corner – but there will also be a new Outdoors Show and London Bike Show taking place on site from January 13 – 15 to provide added interest.  We take a look at some of the highlights from around the exhibition centre…’

‘Musto claim their new gloves are the most waterproof and breathable in the world.  The new OutDry style on show at ExCel has been developed using technology usually reserved for skiing and mountaineering, with a waterproof membrane directly bonded onto outer fabric to seal the stitching and prevent leaks.  See for yourself at stand B75′
