Scottish and Northern Equestrian update: Fife Hunt

In the last issue of Scottish and Northern Equestrian magazine, there was a short update on the Fife Hunt event returning to Scone Palace for the second year running:

‘After the huge success of last year’s equestrian event, Fife Hunt Branch will once again be hosting their annual open one day event in the prestigious grounds of Scone Palace parklands, which is set to take place on Saturday 7 May.

The one day event is open to both members of the PC and non members, which last year gave competitors and spectators from all over Scotland the opportunity to ride around a British Eventing track just a week after Central Scotland Horse Trials runs the first of their bi-annual events.

Classes range from 0.75m for those who are new to eventing through to 1.10m for the more experienced competitors.  “This year we have the added attraction of being included as part of the Musto Pony Club Open Eventing League, a new UK wide competition run by the Pony Club as well as including qualifiers for the British Horse Society Knockhill Scottish Cross Country Championships” said organizer Marian Osler, District Commissioner Fife Hunt PC.

“As organizer I am indebted to the Central Scotland Horse Trials Committee for agreeing to let us have the use of this fantastic course once more and hope that this event will be as successful as last year’s.  Thanks also to the hardworking organising committee without whom the event would not take place.”’
