The 11-metre Shockwave Zodiac Hurricane Mach II can navigate at high speed through some of the most treacherous conditions on the planet.

Smith’s company developed the prototype in conjunction with Zodiac and built the Shockwave Console.¬† The Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) was designed for interdictions at sea and anti-terrorism.

His trip from St. Johns to Baffin Island, across the Northwest Passage and then south to Vancouver Island took two months.
