BRITISH SAILING TEAM
About The British Sailing Team
Britain is the world’s leading Olympic Classes sailing nation, having won more gold medals than any other in Olympic history. The British Sailing Team (BST) have topped the medals tables in Sydney, Athens, Beijing and Rio and won more medals than their rivals on home waters at the London 2012 Olympics.
Being the best means wanting to work with the best, which is why they want Musto, a British company and trusted world-leader in its category, on their side. Their objective of developing world-beating products with the brand would help them maintain their status and put Britain on the map as the most successful dinghy sailing nation in the world.
Why choose Musto?
For over 50 years, Musto have pushed the boundaries of designing and manufacturing high performance sailing clothing. It is important to the BST to work with a heritage brand that brings out the very best in their performance. This collaboration will allow the development of a range of innovative dinghy wear that helps keep the team at the front of the pack over the next four years.
RYA Performance Director, John Derbyshire OBE, echoed these sentiments, stating: “It’s vital that the British Sailing Team partners with a quality brand that shares its values of collaboration and innovation. This will keep our athletes at the cutting- edge of the sport, and looking great to boot.”
