British rowers Olly Clark and Dan Parsons have just won the Concept Pairs Class in the formidable Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge.
The duo spent over 43 days rowing in a bid to be the first pair to complete the 3000 mile Atlantic crossing route, which ran from the Canary Islands to Antigua.
The event, referred to as the ‘toughest rowing race’ in the world, saw the boys endure their fair share of of sweat and tears. However the 40kn storms, a capsize, a near collision with a ship, dramatic weight loss, excruciating sores and horrendous hallucinations brought on by sleep deprivation were all made worthwhile according to the boys, thanks to the masses of money they raised for charity.
“During our darkest times, we maintained morale by reading messages from our family and friends”, admitted Clark. “We could not have completed this challenge without the constant support we’ve received… we are forever in your debt.”
Musto is proud to have kitted out Dan and Olly as they took on their challenge of a lifetime. Congratulations both and enjoy a well-earned celebration and rest.
