Social Media Manager

Responsible for: Social media platforms, blog, content planning and generation

Summary: Our Ecommerce team are looking for a switched on, outdoor pursuits enthusiast to join the team. The experienced Social Media Manager will be responsible for building our social strategy, engaging with our customers, and building community and advocacy across social media platforms and Musto.com.

Role Accountabilities:

Social Media

  • Lead all social media activity for the Musto brand, responsible for devising strategies that support key business campaigns and digital growth.
  • Display in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media channels, their audiences and how each platform can be deployed for different objectives
  • Create and/or utilise content in line with the Marketing Calendar ensuring cohesive communication and tone of voice.
  • Develop a variety of social content that works on different channels and speaks to different audiences
  • Devise new ways to engage our customers through proactive and reactive community management
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, PR, Merchandising and Ecommerce teams to deliver integrated campaigns
  • Form key relationships with influencers across social media platforms
  • Execute social media campaigns including paid, targeted campaigns and advertising.
  • Measure and report on social media activity, delivering actionable insight.
  • Monitor and support International and Corporate Social Media activity.
  • Respond to customer enquiries via social media on a timely basis including evenings and weekends.

Content

  • Create and manage Community content online, bringing to life our products and partnerships. Maximise value from blogs, events and ambassadors in collaboration with the Marketing and Ecommerce Content teams, ensuring activity aligns with seasonal trading Calendar and is well co-ordinated across all digital channels.
  • Ownership of the Musto blog. Working with marketing on generating new content, ensuring content is SEO optimised. Re-purposing old content with updated, relevant product lines and generating engaging evergreen content in house. Conduct regular monthly reporting on blog traffic and conversions.
  • Manage the Digital content calendar in-line with the Brand Marketing Calendar, working with Marketing to deliver assets and content in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all content is engaging and shareable.
  • Work with in-house photography studio to deliver image and video assets as required.

General Accountabilities

  • Generate brand awareness, database/followers and advocacy growth
  • Ensure all content is on-brand and premium
  • Support Digital Marketing in delivering customer loyalty and repeat visits to the site
  • Support off-line marketing activity through digital and social campaigns
  • Monitor competitor Social activity and report on findings
  • Monitor and report on social activity offering appropriate recommendations
  • Ensure all activity adheres to online best practise
  • Manage supplier and partner relationships, ensuring excellent levels of service delivery and output, representative of the expectations of the Brand
  • Closely manage assigned budgets and forecasts
  • Regularly measure and monitor KPIs/ROI, reporting to appropriate stakeholders when required
  • Ensure the integrity of customer data is upheld and adheres to privacy laws and codes of conduct
  • Manage and support Ecommerce projects, as required
  • Any other ad hoc duties, as required

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Experience in a Social media environment essential
  • Experience in the clothing retail sector or experience working with a quality/premium brand
  • Ability to edit and build web content in HTML
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience using Hootsuite an advantage
  • Understanding of consumer behaviour and content consumption across digital platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and deliver high-quality output every time
  • Strong interest in the digital landscape and premium fashion/apparel industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical product, preferably within the sailing, shooting & equestrian disciplines.
