About Mount St John

Mount St John breeds and trains dressage horses of the highest standard. Set in a beautiful North Yorkshire estate, we have been in operation for nearly 5 years but with many more years’ experience in the equine industry. The team has a number of British National Dressage Titles and plans to develop into the International Dressage competition scene this year, aiming for Young Dressage Horse World Championships and hopefully senior Dressage World Cups, World Championships and Olympics in future years. We love the precision and beauty of a good dressage horse and rider combination performing together, and enjoy the process of continuous improvement and development that goes with dressage as a sport at the highest level.

Future goal

Our future goal is to have homebred horses competing at the Young Horse World Championships annually, and to be contesting the Senior World Cups, World Championships and Olympics also with homebred horses. Also to then have MSJ bred offspring representing other riders and nations competing at these events. Anyone starting out in dressage should focus on the detail, it’s all about precision, accuracy and development of each horse with a clear system and goal in mind.
